Folks often inquire about my inspirations. I call my unique style Southern Gothic: a blend of salvaged lace,rust and whiskey; throw in a family secret or two and you are there. As a native of Faulkner country and a child obsessed with Tennessee William's plays, I have always been enamored of film characters like Alva Starr in "This Property is Condemned "-a Southern woman who has had to use her wits and charms to survive. My clothing and designs are a direct reflection of those characters laced with a bit of the women of Storyville. Elaborate draping, dying, and collaging of exquisite vintage laces are a hallmark of my work. And dont forget the rust-
